So, once again I've managed to wash my laundry completely by hand. Althugh, I'm not entirely sure if it's actually getting washed, or just wet. I do use detergent, but I don't know how much good it does. Well, until the new washers get here, that's how it will be. And you would not believe the amount of dirt that comes out of your clothes! I was positively shocked, I tell you! It's really kinda disgusting, all that dirt and grime swirling in the wather where you're trying to clean your clothes. But you don't want to drain it out, because then you'd have to not only refill the tub, but boil some more water for the detergent cube thingy to disperse in and all of that takes time. Time that you don't really have because you're doing this in the bathtub and people may want to use the sink or the shower to clean up. And there's the actual washing. YOu scrub and scrub at all of the stains, but you're not sure if it's actually doing anything.

And trust me - it takes days to dry anything out here. Inside, outside, it doesn't matter, it's going to take awhile. So you have to every once and awhile drag out ye olde hair dryer to help speed up the process. Or you could take it all into your room and leave the space heater on it so you can dry your clothes that way. All the while, you have to keep in the back of your mind: I'm going to be doing this again next week.

And it's all because you're too lazy to actually buy any tokens for the washing machines during the week, or, more accurately, you forget to until Friday, and by then it's too late, you can't buy them. Gosh darnit all.
