Well my bad week just got worse! Funimation lisenced FMA! Those bastards! And all of the BitTorrents have taken the episodes down already (before I got the chance to see episode thirty one!) Argh! The one thing I looked forward to everyweek has just been brutally ripped away. And why couldn't it have been liscenced by someone other than Funimation, anyway? Funimation is to blame for the crappy-ness that is USDBZ. I haven't seen their DVDs for Fruits Basket, and, quite frankly, I'm a little scared to. Odd how I tend to like fansubs better than getting the real thing. But, why couldn't it have been done by someone like Bandai? And while I know some people don't like them, I'm generally OK with ADV, so why not them?
Ok, so I'm being overdramatic, but come on. The DVDs won't be out until sometime during the fall and I may be in England at that point. Or I may not be, but eh...that's a fish of another color. *shakes fist at stupid grades*

Date: 2004-05-11 10:07 am (UTC)Don't lose hope! Their Fruits Basket is really not bad - they have bilingual dvds, the dub isn't bad (I haven't seen a lot of it but I haven't heard a single complain) and the sub is excellent!
Also, they recently lisenced Kodomo no Omocha, which I too am concerned about. If they can find someone to emulate Sana-chan in a great way, I will be amazed. But seriously. I am saddened that you won't be able to download, that would suck.
But seriously - they might do a good job!
