There's something strangely soothing and meditative about listening to Anthony Bourdain's show "No Reservations" and trying to untangle six (plus?) balls of yarn that the cat peed on and were subsequently washed together and dried together.

Allergy inducing, sure, but soothing. Almost zen like. And from 10 PM until 1 AM I managed to untangle two balls of yarn completely from the pile and half of two other balls from the yarn pile. I'm not entirely sure how many yarns of ball are left. I thought there was only one white ball in there, but I finished one and there's still white yarn in the pile. 75% of the pile is one dye lot of a blue yarn.

If I didn't have plans for the yarn I'd probably just chuck it out.

I received a job offer for a company in Falls Church. It's a very generous job offer, almost $17/hr, generous PTO/Vacation time, insurance, etc., etc. The work, however, just sounds plain boring. Processing case file after case file (8 an hour is the goal).

On the one hand - immediate availability, can come off COBRA from INTECH, more money than I've made in quite some time, steady employment.

On the other - it's in Falls Church (right next to Tyson's Conrner), I'd still be living in NoVA, strange hours to avoid traffic (some people start at 4:30 am!), the job sounds mind-numbing.

I'm still going to TX for the interview in Austin. I'm actually rather excited about the possibility of moving out and living on my own, even (especially?) to another state.

Decisions, decisions.

One vet visit and $450 later - I've decided to accept the job.
