Second, if you ever need a pick me up, go watch Yamada Taro Monogatari (found at mysoju.com with English subs). The protagonist is absolutely freakin' adorable, his best friend as well, the love interest is a little annoying (but only because she wants to marry rich and the Yamada family is so decidedly destitute (seven kids, seven!)) but I really do like her. Even the kid actors are adorable. It's all just amusing and lovely.
I just, I can't even. It's so freakin' awesome. Day late, dollar short? Hells yes, but at least I made it to the party.
